You can still enjoy Birmingham restaurants and businesses while social distancing during the spread of COVID-19 – and quite a few of our city’s innovative business owners are Birmingham-Southern graduates.

Here’s our running list of small businesses with BSC connections and the ways you can still support them during this time. If you know of another business to list here, please fill out our Google Form.

March 19 Update: After the Jefferson County Department of Health’s order that all nonessential businesses and services close 5 p.m. Friday, March 20, some of the businesses below will be affected. We will do our best to update this post with news, but know that purchasing gift cards will also help support these businesses!

March 20 Update: John Boone ’06 and Hunter Renfroe ’08, founders of Orchestra Partners, announced that they are offering a comprehensive rent holiday to their local, small business tenants effective immediately. For their most at-risk tenants, the holiday will be in place through June.

Orchestra Partners has developed some of the most innovative spaces in our city and continues to support and invest in Birmingham through this decision. See a list of their communities here.
